How does it work, you ask? Here’s the scoop:
Augmented reality content is tracked by a QR code made out of chocolate and placed on the cakes and cupcakes, and may be viewed via the free daqri app for iPhone and iPad. Choices of AR animations for Mother’s Day include teddy bears with hearts, blossoming flowers, and a spring theme.
“We’re very excited to do something creative that’s never been done before,” says daqri CEO Brian Mullins. “The photo-sharing capabilites are really catching on. We think these cakes are going to be a huge hit for birthdays, sports events, baby showers, you name it.”
